Waripoke
A bill-splitting app that records a payment when you photograph the receipt, then shows who should pay how much to whom.
Problem
When someone pays for everyone on a trip or at a meal, working out later who paid what and who owes whom takes effort, and records get missed or miscalculated.
Goal
To reduce the effort of settling up and make money matters between friends go more smoothly.
Design and implementation
Photographing the receipt as the main input
This reduces manual entry and makes it harder to miss a payment.
Showing only the conclusion
The app shows who should finally pay how much to whom.
Results
- The service is no longer public. A demo video shows how it worked.
